BSNL, India’s biggest ISP [Internet Service provider] is soon launching Wireless Broadband plan.This new broadband internet service will be on CDMA [Code division multiple access] Technology. The EVDO will provide 2.4MBPS speed in wireless access. EVDO [EVolution Data Optimize] is 3rd generation of CDMA technology.
Few plans are already launched in Southern part of India as on testing basis. and still it is not officially launched. It is available on either USB Modem or PCMCIA card
According to my friend, current rates are
Internet Data Card USB wisht speed 2.4mbps OR pcmcia card with 2.4mbps.
Reg. cgs. ——————- Nil
Activation cgs.———– 500
Data card —————– 3500
OR
Pay monthly 200 for card & a 1000rs security deposit(refundable )
Tariff for EVDO (2.4 Mbps) is Rs. 550 + Tax/month unlimited download
Tariff for CDMA 1x (144 Kbps) is Rs. 250(reduced from 350) + Tax/month unlimited download
Free internet usage— Unlimited
Minimum hire period— 3 months.
Hope so it will be launched in Maharashtra and other states soon, i am damn waiting for it.

Great news man !!!
I am using UL750 PLAN .This new plan will be much cost saving for me
Rs 200/- a month could be saved.
Still I will wait for few month and get others reviews about his new plan of UL550..
550*0.12(SERVICE TAX )=66,
SO ,
550+66 = Rs 616/-
This is fine ..

I’m having Airtel 512KBps at home they are charging Rs. 1500+tax. Internet Braodband still out of reach at some places. Even at my place ( Panchkula) I have to choose between TATA indicom Dialup or Airtel Braodband which is stealing all my money.
